BREAKING THE BARRIERS TO ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE

ARTS + DISABILITY FACTS IN AUSTRALIA

Recent research has shown that although artists with disability are contributing 20% higher in participation rates, they are earning 50% less on average for their creative & arts related work than artists without disability.

A disability pay gap that has alarmingly grown 900% worse since 2007/08 when it was only 5%!

OUR MAIN BARRIERS:

  1.  Discrimination in Fair Pay

  2.  Negative Attitudes & Low Expectations

  3.  Discrimination in Employment Opportunities

  4.  Lack of Agent, Mentoring & Networking Opportunities

Our social enterprise aims to break these barriers by commissioning art that champion excellence in disability & art
